Suits, shirts, pants, ties, and shoes were donated by Atlanta’s Lenox Square Mall Brooks Brothers and other PA Kids volunteers for “Clothes Night”. The PA Kids conference room became a men’s clothing store so the PA boys were able to come and experience what it is like to shop for nice clothes. The volunteers were the sales clerks and helped the young men pick out suits and dress clothes.
“At PA Kids we give them the life skills to go on job interviews and since most of the kids have never owned a suit or tie, these clothes will help them to want to achieve a higher career level,” said Director Cindy Simpson. The kids were so excited when trying on the clothes that they didn’t want to take them off! Everyone wore their new clothes to school the next day! Barry Hundley, manager of Brooks Brothers said “I enjoy and appreciate programs that try to shape and mold our children. They’re our future.” Hundley said he thinks the clothes could not have gone to a better cause, and plans to continue donating as much as his store can to Project Adventure.
